WHAT IS SOLIDCAM AND WHY USE IT?

SolidCAM is a software which aids manufacturing, it helps to generate the program (G and M Code) required to manufacture a particular component on a CNC machine. The term computerized numerical control is a widely accepted and commonly used term in the machine tool industry. New machine tools in CNC have enabled industry to consistently produce parts to accuracies undreamed of only a few years ago. The same part can be reproduced to the same degree of accuracy any number of times if the CNC program has been properly prepared and the computer properly programmed. The operating commands which control the machine tool are executed automatically with amazing speed, accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability. The ever-increasing use of CNC in industry has created a need for personnel who are knowledgeable about and capable of preparing the programs which guide the machine tools to produce parts to the required shape and accuracy. The program is known as Word address  popularly called GCode (Preparatory code) and MCode(Miscellaneous code) which contains about 384 codes. Writing the code is tedious and time consuming but with the software called SolidCAM the code can be generated automatically and simulated before it is been fed into the CNC machine via the software called MastersMX and other software compatible with the CNC machine in use.

WHY USE IT?
  • SolidCAM provides the great value of the revolutionary and amazing imachining technology, it saves 70% and more in CNC machining time and extends cutting tool life dramatically.
  • SolidCAM provides optimal feeds and speeds, taking into account the toolpath, stock and tool material specifications.
  • SolidCAM will make you and your CNC machines more profitable and more competitive than ever before.
  • SolidCAM runs directly inside your existing Solidworks or Autodesk inventor CAD system, with seamless integration - design changes initiate automatic tool path updates automatic tool  to the CAD model. With the single-window integration, all machining operations can be leaving the parametric CAD assembly environment you are already used to.
  • SolidCAM provides a complete CAM solution for all CNC applications, its works right inside your existing CAD: seamless integration in both Solidworks and Autodesk inventor saves time and frustration.
  • SolidCAM eliminates import/export challenges, gets you up to speed fastest and extremely short learning curve because you are already familiar with SolidCAM interface since it runs right inside your CAD system.
  • SolidCAM works in the CAD assembly model to graphically show fixtures, tooling and vices in simulations, its grows as you grow and it is scalable with packages for all CNC machine types and applications.
  • SolidCAM gives you the most for your money :the integrated CAD/CAM solution solidworks plus SolidCAM is available at a competitive bundle -price.
  • with SolidCAM the program of the component to be machined can be automatically generated by the software.
From the foregoing you can see that SolidCAM is a wonderful software for your usage.Watch out for detailed step by step tutorials on SolidCAM and various research topics you can carried out using SolidCAM .

WHO NEEDS SPSS?

SPSS an acronym for statistical package for social science or statistical product and service solutions is a versatile software used by virtually all disciplines be it engineering, medical, pure and applied sciences as well as environmental for conducting statistical analyses, manipulating data, and generating tables and graphs that summarize data. statistical analyses range from basic descriptive statistics, such as averages and frequencies, to advanced inferential statistics, such as regression models, analysis of variance, and factor analysis. It allows even novice researchers to do their own statistical analysis with ease. This program is widely used by individuals with interests in social sciences, market research, health research, surveys, government, and education research. the following enumerate the reasons why SPSS is for you:
  •  For health practitioners, SPSS is a valuable tools since the welfare of the public is their ultimate goal, and with the uncertainty that is inherent in all health and medical related decisions, statistical sciences can play an important role in solving problems of human health & disease. Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) requires medical practitioners to carefully consider all evidence on whether a particular line of treatment works, in turn requiring evidential data to be objectively analyzed. An application of statistical techniques is required to achieve this data. it is very relevant for them when researching into new areas of medicine
  • Social science students despise statistics. For one thing, most have a non-mathematical background, which makes understanding complex statistical equations very difficult. SPSS enable them to carrying out complex statistical problems with just a single click.
  • The relevant of SPSS to Engineers cannot be overemphasized as they use statistical techniques to test and construct models of engineering components and systems, to study repetitive operations in manufacturing in order to set standards and find optimum manufacturing procedures also used by reliability engineers to measures the ability of a system to perform its intended purposes e.t.c.
  • SPSS is of immense important to scientists as they regularly deals with data and those data need to be analyzed so has to apply it in solving mankind problems.  for example, an agricultural scientists uses SPSS as a tool to determine if the differences in variables are real or due to chance also SPSS provide crucial insight into many biological processes, help biologists correctly prepare experiments, verify conclusions and properly interpret  results.
From the foregoing you can now see that you need to learn SPSS. so watch out for detailed step by step tutorials on SPSS using real life situations as examples.
